Port of Melbourne CEO, Brendan Bourke, hosted a senior delegation from the Kingdom of The Netherlands on Friday 4 November.
The Dutch delegation was led by Minister Henk Kamp, Minister for Economic Affairs, who was joined by senior Dutch diplomats and officials on a visit to the port which reaffirmed the trade and business links between the two nations.
The visit coincided with the 400th anniversary of the visit by Dutch mariner, Dirk Hartog, to the West Australian coast in 1616. Dutch dredging company Royal Boskalis will shortly commence maintenance dredging works at the entrance to Port Phillip and the port precinct.
