Port completes maintenance dredging in South Channel - 8 March
The dredging vessel Brisbane will depart Port Phillip Bay tomorrow afternoon after successfully completing required maintenance dredging in South Channel, Port of Melbourne Corporation CEO, Stephen Bradford, announced today.

Maintenance dredging set to commence - 1 February 2012
Port of Melbourne Corporation is set to commence maintenance dredging in the South Channel of Port Phillip Bay from next Monday 6 February.

Port trade reaches milestone - 20 January 2012
Container trade through the Port of Melbourne reached a milestone in 2011, passing through the 2.5 million container mark to record a throughput of 2,506,726 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) in the full calendar year, up 6.6% on the 2010 result.

Port of Melbourne welcomes new Harbour Master - 17 January 2012
Port of Melbourne Corporation has appointed Captain Gary Wilson to the role of General Manager, Marine and Navigational Services, thereby assuming the statutory role of Harbour Master for the Port of Melbourne.
