Market sounding begins to seek input on capacity options at the port - 19 August 2010
The Victorian Government previously announced that it had asked PoMC to conduct a market sounding process and to subsequently provide advice to it on options for the provision of additional container capacity at the Port of Melbourne.

Channel Deepening Project $248 million under budget - 27 July 2010
Premier John Brumby today announced Victoria's largest marine infrastructure project had been completed $248 million under budget, with latest figures also showing trade into the Port of Melbourne had significantly increased.

Port of Melbourne trade figures declare an end to the GFC - 27 July 2010
A strong trade surge in the second half of financial year 2009-10 has seen total container trade through the Port of Melbourne  increase by 3.7% to 2.237 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) in the full year to 30 June, Port of Melbourne Corporation (PoMC) announced today.

Port tariffs revised to fund infrastructure - May 2010
Port of Melbourne Corporation today released to customers its new Pricing Policy Statement for the period 2010 to 2015, together with the 2010-11 Reference Tariff Schedule for port fees which will apply from 1 July 2010.

Port records February trade surge - 29 March 2010
Boosted by strong growth in containers, total trade through the Port of Melbourne has now drawn level with pre-GFC volumes, down just 0.1% for the financial year to date, Port of Melbourne Corporation announced today.

Channel Deepening wins Australia's Infrastructure Project of the Year  - 11 March 2010
Port of Melbourne Corporation's Channel Deepening Project beat strong competition to win the National Infrastructure Award hosted by Infrastructure Partnerships Australia (IPA) in Sydney last night.

Approaching pre GFC levels, total trade through the Port of Melbourne increased 9.5%1 in January compared with the corresponding month the previous year, Port of Melbourne Corporation announced today.

December trade bounces back at the Port of Melbourne - 19 January 2010
A positive rebound in trade volumes saw total trade through the Port of Melbourne in December 2009 increase 6.6% on the corresponding month the previous year, Port of Melbourne Corporation announced today.
