Dynon Port Rail Link - Footscray Road OverpassBackground Dynon Port Rail Link (DPRL) is a joint project of the Australian and Victorian governments. It involves the construction of a direct, uninterrupted rail link into the Port of Melbourne. A 600-metre overpass, six-lanes wide, will raise Footscray Road over a newly-built railway line. Two new dual-gauge main rail lines will be built between the new port rail junction and the existing main rail line north of Footscray Road. The Victorian Department of Transport (DoT) is managing the project and Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd is undertaking the construction. For more information about the project:
