Berth information

The Port of Melbourne has 30 commercial berths, including two modern, purpose-built four-berth international container terminals.

Multi-purpose berths handle cargoes ranging from timber to motor vehicles, and there are specialised berths for dry cargoes, including cement, grain, sugar, fly ash and gypsum, and dedicated facilities for a variety of liquids from molasses to crude oil and petrochemicals, using the latest handling methods.

Download the latest copy of the Channel and Berth Information  sheet (PDF, 87kb)  and Port Load Chart (PDF, 634kb) to view that information for the berth you are interested in. The Channel and Berth Information sheet should be read in conjunction with the latest Victorian Notices to Mariners  regarding berth depth.

For other information about berths, download the the Customer Handbook (PDF). The 2005/06 Customer Handbook may be viewed or printed from this site.
