Coode Road West set to close in August

To accommodate future port growth, Coode Road West (Dock Link Road to Mackenzie Road) will be closed to through traffic.

COODE ROAD CLOSURE

With the Port of Melbourne expected to handle up to 12 million TEU by 2065, there is a need to develop and configure the port to accommodate future growth. As part of this reconfiguration, Coode Road West (Dock Link Road to Mackenzie Road) will be closed to through traffic.

DP World have been undertaking works along Coode Road West since June 2018 and on mid-night Monday 13 August 2018 Coode Road West will be permanently closed to through traffic.

All traffic wanting to access tank farm facilities on Coode Island will need to use Mackenzie Road.

Entry to DP World’s facility will be from Coode Road, immediately west of Dock Link Road (refer to the map below).
