Debra (Debbie) Goodin – Independent chair

With more than 30 years of senior management experience in the public and private sectors, Debra has a proven track record of
working in complex environments, with a demonstrated focus on
corporate governance and commitment to environmental, social, and sustainability matters.

Debbie has extensive experience across various industries, particularly in critical infrastructure – including the water, energy, and transport sectors and brings a long-term view of infrastructure development, complemented by a wealth of experience as an established director and chair across private, public, government-owned, and not-for-profit organisations.

 

Leisel Moorhead – QIC

Leisel joined QIC Infrastructure in January 2008. Leisel leads the asset
management function across the QIC infrastructure portfolio including environmental, social and governance matters for the QIC portfolio assets.

 

Stasha Prnjatovic – OMERS Infrastructure

Stasha is a Managing Director for OMERS Infrastructure and in this role she leads asset management efforts in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to sitting on the Board of PoM, Stasha also sits on the board of Transgrid and Waveconn.

 

Simon Palagyi – OMERS Infrastructure

Simon is a Managing Director for OMERS Infrastructure. He joined OMERS in May 2017, and is responsible for a range of infrastructure investment origination and asset management activities in Australia. In addition to PoM’s Board of Directors, Simon also sits on the Board of the Transgrid Asset Trust.  He previously served as a director on the Board of LifeLabs Management Inc., Canada’s largest community laboratory business.

 

James White – Future Fund

James is a Director in Future Fund’s Infrastructure and Timberland team. James joined Future Fund in 2010 and has been involved in the investment and management of the infrastructure and timberland portfolio, including representing Future Fund on the boards of a number of portfolio companies.

Russell Smith – Global Infrastructure Partners Australia Fund

Russell joined GIP in 2015. Russell led GIP’s acquisition of Port of Melbourne and co-led the acquisitions of Peel Ports, Pacific National and Tramarsa Ports. Before joining GIP, Russell was the CEO of the newly privatised Port of Brisbane from 2010 until 2015. Prior to that, Russell was the COO Transport for Prime Infrastructure and Brookfield, and previously worked in the direct acquisition of port assets as Global Head of Ports for Babcock & Brown.

Russell holds an engineering degree and an MBA specialising in strategic management.

 

Veeral Kanji – Global Infrastructure Partners Australia Fund

Veeral Kanji is a Managing Director based in Sydney who joined GIP at its inception in 2006. He began in the London office before joining the Australia team in 2015. He has been actively involved in several of GIP’s investments including Sydney Airport, the Port of Melbourne, the Perdaman Ammonia Urea Project, QCLNG Common Facilities, Vena Energy, London City Airport, ACS Renewables, Great Yarmouth Port, International Trade Logistics, and Terra-Gen Power.
Prior to GIP, Mr. Kanji worked in the Investment Banking Division of First NZ Capital in Auckland, New Zealand.
Veeral holds a joint Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Management) and Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering with First Class Honours) from the University of Auckland.

 

Rod Heale – Future Fund

With over 40 years of tier-1 executive experience, Rod has a proven track record leading multi-billion-dollar infrastructure, construction, and engineering enterprises. He specializes in driving large-scale turnaround strategies and navigating high-consequence corporate risk.

Rod has managed major infrastructure portfolios with annual revenues up to $6 billion. His leadership background includes roles as Managing Director at Decmil and COO for John Holland, alongside senior tenures at Thiess and CPB Contractors. He brings deep commercial acumen to an active board portfolio including Fulton Hogan, Acrow (ASX:ACF), Alchimie, and the Port of Melbourne.

Rod holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Construction Law. He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and the AICD.

Robert Stewart – Global Infrastructure Partners Australia Fund

Rob joined GIP in 2015 as a GIP Partner and is the Managing Partner of GIP Australia. Prior to joining GIP, Rob was the Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse in Australia and from 2000 to 2013 he was the head of the Australia Investment Banking Division.

Rob began his career as a chartered accountant with Ernst and Whinney (a predecessor to Ernst and Young).

Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

 

David Kenny – QIC

David is a Senior Principal in QIC’s Infrastructure team, having joined QIC in April 2023. David has extensive experience as an investment professional and currently serves as a director on the boards of Brisbane Airport and Hobart Airport.

 

Paul Hosri – OMERS Infrastructure

Paul is a Director for OMERS Infrastructure. He joined OMERS in 2017 and is currently focused on the pursuit and management of investments in high quality infrastructure assets in Australia. Between 2017 and 2021, Paul was based in London focusing on OMERS Infrastructure’s investments across Europe.

 

Anika McManus – Global Infrastructure Partners Australia Fund

Anika is Managing Director ESG at GIP, with over 30 years’ experience across sustainability, indigenous relations, government relations, environment, safety, strategy development, communications, leadership coaching, cultural change and workplace relations.
Anika is a Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, and has held senior leadership roles and Board Directorships across resources, FMCG, industry association, and not-for-profit sectors.
