    Ongoing Works

    Temporary Closure of Webb Dock Trail Southern Section

    Port of Melbourne is planning to upgrade an existing stormwater drain beneath Webb Dock Trail. To safely complete these essential works, the southern section of the trail will be temporarily closed.

    The works are planned to take place between Monday 12 October – Saturday 17 October (subject to change). Working hours are between 7:00am to 6:00pm on weekdays and 7:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday.

    During this period:

    • A temporary closure will apply to the section of trail beyond the lookout tower at the south-east corner.
    • The eastern side of Webb Dock Trail will remain open and accessible.

    Once complete, the trail area will be reinstated to its original condition and will reopen with normal 24‑hour public access.

    This webpage will be updated with the latest information.

    Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these works.

    There are currently no other ongoing works at publicly accessible areas in Port of Melbourne.

    Completed Works

    Perce White Reserve Car Park Works

    Works within the Perce White Reserve car park have now been completed to support safer parking movements and improve pedestrian safety.

    The completed works involved the installation of wheel stoppers in parking bays on the southern side of the car park to reduce the risk of vehicle overhang onto the footpath and improve pedestrian safety in the area.

    Webb Dock Trail Remediation Works

    To ensure public safety following recent storm damage, the southern section of the Webb Dock Trail was temporarily closed.

    Essential short‑term maintenance works to remediate the trail were carried out between Monday 27 April and Wednesday 29 April, as planned.

    All works are now complete, and the Webb Dock Trail has reopened with normal 24‑hour public access.

    Thank you for your patience and understanding while these works were undertaken to restore the trail.

    Maritime Cove Playground Renewal Works

    In March 2026, Port of Melbourne undertook renewal works at Maritime Cove Playground, located within Perc White Reserve, Port Melbourne.

    Works have now been completed, and the playground is accessible and available for public use.
