Saul Cannon

Chief Executive Officer

Saul joined Port of Melbourne in November 2021 and brings to the role over 25 years of commercial, strategy, finance, legal and corporate governance experience. Most recently, Saul was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at global logistics provider, Toll Group.

Prior to Toll, Saul spent nearly a decade at ASX-listed Asciano Limited, which then owned the Patrick ports and Pacific National rail businesses. Saul holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Law (with honours) and is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School in Boston.

Darryl Mutzelburg

Chief Financial Officer

Darryl is responsible for the finance function, as well as treasury and regulation. Before joining Port of Melbourne in 2017, Darryl was the Chief Financial Officer for Port of Brisbane for over 14 years, and helped lead the business through the transition from government to private ownership.
Darryl has 20 years of port experience leading various functions including strategic planning, property and trade development, as well as 10 years experience working in the road transport and logistics industry. Darryl holds a Bachelor of Business, a Master of Commerce and is a Fellow of CPA Australia.

Caryn Anderson

Executive General Manager Port Growth and Planning

Caryn is responsible for leading the coordination of the Port’s growth strategies and supporting activities including planning and supply chain.
Having joined the former Port of Melbourne Corporation in 2006, Caryn has over 20 years of experience in the Australian and international ports, shipping and logistics sectors. Caryn’s practical industry experience is supported by formal qualifications in science, law and business.

Craig Faulkner

Executive General Manager Operations

Craig oversees a wide range of operational departments including environment services, assets and infrastructure management, spatial data, port security, safety and emergency management, and survey. Prior to joining the Port of Melbourne  Craig has held a number of senior management roles including Chief Executive Officer of Kimberley Ports Authority and also has deep experience in both the Victorian and Tasmanian ports sector.

Shaun Mooney

Executive General Manager Commercial

Overseeing the Commercial division with a focus on Business Development, Property, and Intermodal Operations, Shaun’s experience in global freight and logistics brings valuable knowledge and insights to the Port’s commercial operations. Shaun’s past roles include at Linfox as General Manager Commercial Projects, and 18 years at Toll Group, where he held a variety of roles across the group, including Global Head – Automotive & Industrials and Executive General Manager – Intermodal.
Shaun holds a Bachelor of Accounting and postgraduate qualifications from Melbourne Business School and Harvard Business School as well as being a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Alex Kuras

Head of People & Culture

As the Head of People & Culture, Alex leads the Human Resource, Sustainability, Business Administration and Records Management functions. Prior to joining the company via the former Port of Melbourne Corporation in 2011, Alex held a number of senior management roles with both local and international information technology, telecommunications and professional services organisations such as Siemens, Telstra and DWS Advanced Business Systems.
With more than 30 years of experience Alex shares with Port of Melbourne a wealth of knowledge gained from a diverse range of corporate agendas.

Tiffany Newgreen

General Counsel and Company Secretary

Tiffany is responsible for Legal and company secretarial services. Before joining Port of Melbourne in July 2019, Tiffany was the Head of Legal, Victoria at Transurban and was a member of the Transurban Legal team for over 13 years. Tiffany’s broad range of legal experience, includes infrastructure, leasing, procurement, technology and compliance.
Prior to her in-house career, Tiffany was a lawyer at King & Wood Mallesons, Melbourne.

Tony Murphy

Executive General Manger, Port Development

Tony is responsible leading delivery of all work packages associated with port development projects including government and planning approvals, legal and commercial negotiation strategies, tenant relocations, infrastructure delivery and procurement.  Tony rejoins PoM from Development Victoria where he was the Acting Group Head of Civil Infrastructure. He has also held senior development roles at the University of Melbourne and Transurban among other organisations. In 2015-2017 Tony was General Manager, Infrastructure Delivery at PoM, responsible for the delivery of approximately $1 billion of civil and marine infrastructure including the redevelopment of Webb Dock.
