21 September 2026 – Port of Melbourne notes that the Essential Services Commission (ESC) today commences its public consultation on proposed changes to its Statement of Regulatory Approach.

The Statement of Regulatory Approach provides guidance to the Port of Melbourne and port users about how the commission administers the To ensure relevance, the Statement is updated as key issues and new information arise.

Anyone who wishes to provide feedback to the ESC on the proposed changes can do so by visiting Engage Victoria. Submissions are open until 5pm, 12 October 2026.

Port of Melbourne looks forward to continuing its engagement with the ESC and welcomes the opportunity to work constructively with stakeholders.
